Khloe

Hi, my name is Khloe. I was born on May 1st 2015. I was rescued by my human Mom, Elaina in June of 2015. I took care of two little humans, Kylie and Skylar. Josh, the other grown up human, we tolerated each other. Don't let him fool you, he petted my head and gave me chin scratches when no one was watching, even let me sleep in bed with him when no one was home. I got really sick on March 28th 2024 and crossed over the rainbow bridge. My maw maw Wave and Elaina were with me while I crossed over. I’m so excited, I get to see my human grandma Louise soon! I missed her!! When I wasn’t wrestling with my toy bee, I was watching birds out the window or laying in my soft, warm bed. I had 3 feline siblings, Toby and Nala, both rescued by my humans and Chino who went to see Grandma Louise last summer. I also had a canine companion Toodles, but she wanted to chase me so I would hiss and run away. I loved my cat treats and loved going on car rides. I will miss my humans and fur siblings. Special thank you to Weston Veterinarian Hospital for their kindness to my mom and for taking such great care of me. Also to Mountain State Pet Crematory for the last car ride and bringing comfort to my humans and allowing a part of me to stay with them forever.

Nina

June 2007-March 8, 2024

Nina was born late-mid June in the Highland Park area of Elkins, WV.  She was found one night in July as a wee baby in the road, sick and alone.          Nina's condition was so poor that her survival through that first night was with guarded hope. However, Nina possessed a willful spirit and the heart of a fighter inside that little body that persisted throughout her long life.

Nina is preceded in death by her cat family; Lily, Kylie, Bejera, Walter, Cleopatra, Sullivan, Maslow, and her beloved best friend Piper.  Piper was her best friend and I am sure she was so happy to see him again.

Nina’s hobbies included shaking her mom down for treats and food, as demanded.  She loved exploring the yard and pretended to be a wild jungle cat in the bushes and plants on the property.  She loved climbing the apple tree in her back yard, and occasionally escaping the yard to keep her mom on her toes.  She also enjoyed interrupting her mom’s sleep demanding space against her becoming testy if mom dared to move.  She enjoyed curling up on her mom’s lap or in the dryer, especially while her mom was trying to remove the clean clothes.  Nina didn’t really possess a meow, but a chirp or a full-faced inaudible cry that her mom could hear two rooms away.  It was pretty effective in getting attention.   Nina was ornery and unapologetic for whatever mischief she created.  If Nina hissed, it was likely while she was getting her nails trimmed, which she hated with a passion.  Nina liked to be in the thick of things with a gentle, sweet, willful spirit.  She will never be forgotten and will always be missed.

When Nina was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, her health began to change.  In the month to come, she would win wars against random infections, abscesses and illnesses.  Every time it seemed dim, she would rally and pull out of whatever it was to see another day.  She was found a fighter and she fought very hard for a long time.

Nina leaves behind her fur family of Dray, Toby, Leo, Avery and Binx, as well as her dog family Kiren and Lyra, and most of all her human momma who misses her girl so much.

Nina passed away peacefully from this world Friday, March 8, 2024 with her momma by her side.

Julie Carpenter

Julie, the loveable pitbull crossed over the rainbow bridge on Jan 11th 2024, at 15 years old.

Julie was a rescue from Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2010. She later traveled to Webster County, WV with her new family, where she lived a full life of love, comfort, and adventure. Julie loved car rides, swimming, taking porch naps, rolling in the grass and camping with her family. More than anything, Julie loved kids and was mother hen to any child that was around her.

Left to cherish her memory are her owners, Travis and Tiffany Carpenter, their children, whom she loved so much Hunter 10, Chase 8, and Brooklynn 2,  and her best friend Trixie the Chinese Crested. Not to mention all the other people who instantly fell in love with her. Julie will be forever missed by all who knew her.
